Summary:
Multinational Small & Medium Business Community Center is a non-profit charitable organization with a mandate to Provide new immigrants and the minority with the training and support necessary to start and grow successful business to realize the dream of being free and independent Canadians; and also Provide the minority seniors with the training and support necessary to specific field such as welfare, taxation, heritage, legal education, health promotion, culture activities to maintain their independence, dignity, happiness and safety
We are located in East Toronto and services are predominately provided in the vibrant and diverse communities of North York, Scarborough, Markham, Richmond Hill and other GTA areas.
Multinational Small & Medium Business Community Center is looking for One Summer Students pending on funding approvals.
    Note: The positions are open to full-time students aged 15-30 years who are intending to return to their studies in fall semester 2018; are legally entitled to work in Canada and must be either a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred. Preferences will be given to student(s) with disabilities or member(s) of a visible minority, who are priority students to hire for summer job funding.

Job position:
This position provides administrative and support services to various programs, special events and projects.

Responsibilities:
    General reception duties, answering phone calls, mail/postage
    Enters and verifies information or data in existing formats or databases
    Maintain documentation and filing and other administration duties as required
    Performs routine office/clerical duties, scheduling and coordinating meetings
    Attends committee meetings as needed, takes minutes and circulates minutes
    Greet clients; answer, screen and direct telephone calls
    Photocopy, send and receive fax or email as requested
    Provide support for various activities and events
    Perform any other related duties as requested
    Updating various databases

Qualifications:
     a strong background in mathematics, statistics, and computer science, currently be enrolled in accounting, economics, and business-related program
     2nd or 3rd year student preferable, but high school students are acceptable
     Must be detailed orientated
     Likes working in a team environment
     Preferences will be given to student(s) with disabilities/member(s) of a visible minority
     Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment.
     Have been registered as full-time student in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year.
     Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
     Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.

Hours: 30 hours per week for a duration of 8 weeks

Anticipated start date: Tuesday May 28, 2018

Rate of pay: $14.20 per hour
