We are a growing company located in Mississauga currently looking for full-time Assistant Shipping Clerk.
Job Description:
*Plan and organize the daily shipping of goods to Canada, USA and overseas destinations for retail customers
*Select the optimal shipping methods for each individual customer order based on destination, weight and promise delivery date
*Coordinate the processes of transfer of goods in & out of warehouse, inventory control, warehouse organization, quantity and quality control of incoming shipments from vendors, handling of the returns and waste utilization
*Analyze various market variables and past sales numbers to predict the demand for future sales and fulfill these sales by overseeing the shipment of products to wholesalers for further realization
*Requisitioning shipping supplies for logistics department such as packaging materials and accessories, and authorizing payments for these supplies
*Notifying customer service department about situations that could potentially result in customer complaints
*Send inquiries to purchase manager for repeat orders specifying what products and in what quantities are necessary to order to keep stock live
*Ensure the smooth operations of logistics software programs and maintaining the machinery essential for daily operations
Job Requirements:
Diploma above. ; General computer knowledge.Moderate Excel skills Able to lift up to 20 to 50 lbs. ; Dedicated: Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrity ; Team player: Works well as a member of a group
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: based on experience.
