Main responsibility:
- Develop optimal injection process parameters to reduce cycle time and improve quality;
- Troubleshoot and solve problems impacting yields, capacity, quality, efficiency, delivery, environmental compliance, and safety;
- Lead mold repair activity for in-house repairs, and support for external repairs;
- Perform cost analysis, identify cost savings opportunities, and plan continuous improvement projects;
- Lead mold repair activity for in-house repairs, and support for external repairs;
- Coordinate and lead tooling/injection trials, and provide technical input for quality improvement for New Model parts;
- Review New Model trial part quality & design level prior to event build;
- Provide technical input to minimize scrap and optimize cycle times;
- Communicate closely and effectively with area operations personnel;
- Conduct root cause analysis and quick countermeasure action on quality issues;
- Oversee engineering changes and major tool repairs both in-house and at outside tool shop;
- Provide input for equipment/line layout improvements, incl. Kaizen, 5S, and safety improvements;
- To fulfill company policy and achieve IATF quality standard, SQCD requirement;
- Develop In house custom-made Mechanical application ex. EOTA, De-gating fixtures;
- Support New Model for all tools Database and maintain during mass production;
- To execute any special duty as requested by Engineering Management.
High Light Qualifications:
- University or Collage education and Previous Experience Requirements;
- Minimum of 2 years’ technical experience;
- Automotive experience is an asset; specially injection molding with PP material;
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D program specially CATIA V5;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Must have good analytical abilities, be creative and take initiative;
- Strong knowledge of Quality Systems specially IATF16949;
- Automation application and Robotic system experience is an asset.
