对孩子来说，电影是一个奇幻世界，可以打开想象力的翅膀。我们小时候主要靠读童话、神话、故事，可是现在的时代，可以直接把童话、神话、故事，通过逼真的影像视听，展现在孩子眼前了。

从小带孩子走进电影院，相信我，不仅是个美好的亲子体验，也是一个极好的教育投资。

我现在对孩子很欣慰的一件事，他虽然不爱读书，却爱上了看电影，只要有好电影，看电影，成了我们齐家欢活动。平日家里聊天，也自然多了一个话题，聊好看的电影及情节。孩子在加拿大长大，电影看多了，也触类旁通了各种稀奇古怪的知识，也对一些电影中的事物产生了兴趣，有时会在电影外探求。比如最近，他居然在问关于人民公社大跃进的事儿，因为他看了《霸王别姬》，突然心血来潮，一定要在网上买一本英文书，看中国那过去的事情，冷不丁吃饭的时候就会问一句。

你想想，如今在加拿大长大的孩子，有几个会多那些久远的事情感兴趣?他又不是学这个的，完全就是看电影触发的。电影里面涉及的知识，那是包罗万象，一不小心，就给孩子打开了各个他/她感兴趣的领域。

在加拿大看电影并不贵，比国内便宜好多。办个丰业银行的电影积分信用卡和Cineplex的积分卡，还可以积分换电影票。这么多年，我们就是这么看的电影。你用信用卡买菜、付账单，很快就能积出电影票钱。马上积分要改了。

从4月17日起，以前1000点换一部普通电影，改成1250点，但也有个好消息，以前1500点换一部3D电影，将减少到1250点。也就是，以后无论什么2D/3D电影，都是1250点换一部。

但是呢，用积分换IMAX、D-Box、Ultra AVX电影的好时代一去不复返了。以前，我们都是1000点看一部，和普通电影一样，后来涨到了1250点，从4月17日开始，将再涨到2000点!

如果你不想办卡，也想带孩子去电影院感受一下，那么还有个“家庭合欢星期六”(Family Favourites)的优惠。

每个星期六上午11点，无论大人小孩(3岁及以上)，都是2.99元。加拿大全国都是这个政策，但并非所有电影院都有这个优惠，而是官方公布的电影院。

今年“家庭合欢星期六”的电影一览：

主要是动画片、喜剧片和科幻大片三类。很惊喜，并不都是老片哦，像《海王》(Aquaman)、《大黄蜂》(Bumblebee)、《蜘蛛侠：平行宇宙》(Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse)这些大片，都是去年底今年初上映的。《海王》我是花1500个点看的IMAX(花银子，成人票是17.99元，三个人就要54元银子)。

在“家庭合欢星期六”，只要2.99元就可以看了(3个人只要9元)。
