通话后，秦刚和布林肯都发了一篇推文

Spoke by phone this morning with incoming People's Republic of China Foreign Minister Qin Gang as he departs Washington for his new role. We discussed U.S.-PRC relationship and maintaining open lines of communication.

当地时间1月1日，秦刚与美国国务卿布林肯在推特上发文，证实二人进行了通话。

布林肯在社交媒体上发文称，“今早，在中国新任外长秦刚即将离开华盛顿履新之际，我与他进行了通话。我们讨论了美国和中国的关系以及保持开放沟通渠道的问题”。


之后，秦刚也在社交媒体上发文证实与布林肯通话“告别”。秦刚表示，“感谢在我的（驻美大使）任期内与他进行了多次坦率、深入和有建设性的会晤，期待为了更好的中美关系与他保持密切的工作关系”。


据央视新闻2022年12月30日消息，根据中华人民共和国第十三届人民代表大会常务委员会第三十八次会议于12月30日的决定，任命秦刚为外交部部长。
