美国共和党总统参选人特朗普一向口没遮拦，自信甚高。他近日接受彭博社访问时，扬言自己的竞选工程，与已故前总统列根最相像，而且「劲过列根」。他亦不怕丑地再往自己脸上贴金，声称可带来比列根还厉害的政治变革。
特朗普被问及在美国历史上，哪一人的竞选工程堪与他相比，特朗普就指：「列根做到了一点点，虽然和我程度不同，不过他仍然当选。（Reagan had a little bit of this, but I don't think to the same extent—but he also won.）」
特朗普过往也曾将自己与列根相提并论，但他今次再进一步说：「我觉得（与我）最接近的就是列根，但我不认为这就是我们的能耐。（I think that the closest thing I can think of is Reagan, but I don't think it's the intensity that we have.）」自诩能比列根做得更多。
